the Pain of 'World Class' Tech Support

Recently we have come to know Keenan of Keen Gaming Machines pretty well, and are continually amazed with what we DIDN'T know about PC's... and what we thought they were capable of.

Keenan truly typifies the 'Mad Scientist Geek' and his computers are so blindingly fast, and so stable... well, we now really know what the Ultimate Gaming PC is.

Anyway, a big part of a Keen Machine purchase, is the awesome, competent tech support. Keen should write a book. He just got off an IM with a new customer... paintballgod.

paintballgod: HEY LOL
paintballgod: My sound is backwards
paintballgod: xD
keenmachinepcs: what up wif dat?
paintballgod: When someone is on the left side of me, they sound like they're on the right
keenmachinepcs: didn't hook 'em up right?
paintballgod: dunno
paintballgod: how do I fix it?
keenmachinepcs: turn your head phones around, lol
keenmachinepcs: well the sound card is installed and configured correctly, so i dunno man
paintballgod: lol
paintballgod: its cool
paintballgod: Just have to turn headphones around lol
keenmachinepcs: yep! lmao

... a day in the life of a full-service tech support guy.

hi ho.

Ultimate Gaming PC's... for real!

We have long been a fan of Widow PC's excellent gaming computers, and until now, have only recommended Widow to our visitors.

Now there is a new kid on the block, Keen Gaming PC's, and we unconditionally endorse their gaming computers. Until now, the only way to have a competent gaming computer cheaply, was to build it yourself. Many of our friends are comfortable doing just that, and we provided instruction on Video Game Locker for doing just that. For about $900, Keen sells an outstanding cheap gaming computer that includes a 1 year full parts and labor warranty, free lifetime COMPETENT tech support, Vista OS (including disk and product key).

We couldn't do it ourselves, as cheaply and as well.

Bravo, Keen Machines!

Sony vs Microsoft... Consumer Wins!

It's a pretty well-known fact that the Japanese market is fiercely loyal to Sony and the Playstation 3, but on the other side of the coin, Sony has a new respect for the foothold Microsoft has taken with the Xbox 360 in North America (way out in front with a product base of 10 million).

The Playstation 3's impressive cost coupled with the hesitance of game developers to throw themselves into producing for the PS3, is making it increasingly difficult to penetrate The 360's foothold on North America (we have noticed an awful lot of new PS2 games coming out, in spite of being a last-gen console) . Microsoft is in a position to make matters tougher by cutting the price on the Xbox 360. As it stands, the game division of Sony is expected to lose more than $1.6 Billion this fiscal year... a price cut could hurt them, significantly.

Although a price war (on the surface) is neat for consumers, we would hate to see Sony get banged up too badly on this. We have enjoyed thousands of hours of great entertainment on our Playstations, and would hate to see the healthy competition replace by a Microsoft monopoly, in spite of being big 360 fans.

Wanna stay neutral? Buy Nintendo Wii, hah!

WidowPC's Military Discount

It has been an annoyance to us for some time, that Alienware offered a Military discount... it's not the discount that bugged us, it was the pretense that Alienware is run by a bunch of really nice guys that appreciate the sacrifices made by our Military personnel. Well, if they are nice guys, you wouldn't know it from the customer support, Military or not.

We are greatly pleased to announce that WidowPC is now offering a Military discount. As a bonus to go with that, you get the best custom gaming computer on the planet, and "Outrageous" 24/7 lifetime tech support.

Truly Sick of Spyware on Cheat Code Sites

I know everybody has to pay the bills, but I am really getting sick of being assaulted with tracking cookies, every time I try to research new cheat code sites for my video game site.
It's really getting ridiculous. Even the Big Boys, the top names in games, blow so many spyware cookies into your browser, you can hardly navigate away from the page. It's stupid. I find the Little Guys out there, are the only ones that don't operate spyware landmines.

It is my goal to have a nice, comprehensive gamecheatcodes directory for my visitors that is 100% non-toxic. If you own such a site, PLEASE contact me:

Cheap Christmas Gift Ideas

It's not my style to hawk wares like some kind of Persian rug merchant, but this really is more of a Public Service announcement. We all have to buy the things, and we all would like to adhere to some kind of budget. If you would like to get people on your list something they would actually like (fruitcakes are really passe), and still hang with your budget, check this: cheap Christmas gift ideas.

You can actually get people on your Gift List something they truly like... for under $10.

How cool is that?

Best Gaming Computer on the Planet

It takes a lot more than high tech, big budget ad campaigns, to turn out the Ultimate Gaming Computer. Before you think about forking out your dough for the so-called 'Best Gaming Computer', read the consumer satisfaction reports. Look at the client list for the real Ultimate Gaming Computer... the DoD, USMC, Army black ops groups... even Sony and HP!

Widow PC believe it!
